Author Promotion Shares

Forums

Any author who would like to do newsletter swaps or social share swaps, do it here. Note that you don't actually swap a newsletter as such, you swap the details about your books and that goes into your respective newsletters.

Hi. I'd love to do a newsletter swop. I'm a new author so don't have a lot of people on my mailing list, but the ones that are there are pretty loyal, so I'm happy to tell them about other romance authors.

Hi everyone,

I'm an active member of the Writing Community on Twitter and would love to help support anyone looking for a boost on that site. We engage in writer's lifts, beta reading, book reviewing, and motivation. The more the merrier.

Hi J.G., Derek Niven here, based in Glasgow, Scotland, and I publish soft sci-fi and sports history non-fiction. I have entered my unpublished fourth book in the Pride Series, which sounds like a romance, but is sports and military history. It is based on the 16 Hearts football players who enlisted in the 16th Royal Scots during the Great War. 6 of them lost their lives, and of the other 10, only one lived to a ripe old age. I know you have an interest in your Scottish genealogy and the book also researches the ancestry of the 16 players, tracing back their Scottish, English and Irish ancestry. I've entered the manuscript in the Writing Award category for Non-Fiction. A writer's lift through your Twitter community would be helpful and I would be happy to reciprocate.

Hi Paula, I would be interested in doing a newsletter swap through your FB group, if you would be happy to provide details. My entry in the Writers Award for Non-Fiction is Pride of the Hearts (sounds rom-com!) tells the tragic histories of the 16 Hearts FC players who enlisted in the 16th Royal Scots in the Great War.

Hi Wendie, I'd be happy to do a newsletter swap (I've over 100 on my main mailing list), however, my book is more tragedy than romance. Pride of the Hearts tells the poignant histories of the 16 Hearts FC players who enlisted in the 16th Royal Scots during the Great War. If you're interested in a swap I'd be happy to share your newsletter.

Dear Fellow Authors

This is all very new to me!...

Newsletters sounds good. However, where to start!

Can you please share the best way to start a newsletter.

I have a wordpress website and few contacts, whom I could be in touch with to invite to a mailing list that I would need to compile.

Look forward to your valued suggestions.

Best wishes, Sam.

The best way to send out a regular (probably monthly) newsletter campaign is by using the free mailing list sites such as Mailerlite, Mail Chimp or Sendinblue (which I use). You firstly create an account, then you add your mailing list, then you can set up your newsletter in a preset campaign format. Regards, Derek
