Having been a Finalist in the 2020 Page Turner Awards is very gratifying, especially because it was The Page Turner Awards first year of hosting, nurturing and raising enthusiasm for such an event.
To pull this together so expertly, especially with the pandemic affecting everyone involved and having to rely on several digital platforms to make this work, was a monumental task that couldn’t have been more successful.
Paula and Ken have a way of making you feel personally very welcome as an entrant. Their enthusiasm is carried throughout every communication, and they assembled the best panel of judges, equally involved and supportive of every writer who submitted. To have arranged an official awards ceremony so the winners could receive their deserved recognition and celebrate their success, was so very kind and wonderful to watch.
