With my degree in broadcast journalism, and appreciation for fiction and non-fiction writing, I’ve utilized my writing and broadcasting skills in various capacities. While in college, I freelanced for on-campus newspapers. I was a radio intern at a Washington, D.C. radio station. Additionally, during my broadcast journalism TV practicum, I was a student reporter/producer for a Washington, D.C. television station.
I've contributed news stories to various publications. I've covered news stories ranging from sexuality, health, social issues, crime victims’ rights, education, and others. I’ve interviewed prominent figures such as:
*Ms. Anna Perez- former press secretary to the late former First Lady, Barbara Bush
*Ms. Lurma Rackley-former press secretary to the late former Mayor of Washington, D.C., Marion Barry.
*Ms. Barbara Reynolds-former USA Today columnist & editor
(Just to mention a few notables)
I was awarded 1st Place in the Capital Christian Writers Fruitful Pen competition for my script,
