Kristy Rutland

Published author and professional ghostwriter Kristy Rutland is judging the Page Turner Writing Award in 2022. Kristy began writing and winning awards when she was in kindergarten, and hasn’t put down the pen since!

Kristy attended Georgia College to obtain a degree in Creative Writing. While working on both the undergraduate run literary magazine The Peacock’s Feet and the graduate and faculty run literary magazine The Arts & Letters editorial team, she met authors such as Stephen Graham Jones.

She was awarded first prize in 2013 for an essay titled “Metamorphosis” at Agnes Scott College for the annual Writer’s Festival and completed a writing workshop with Cristina Garcia.

Kristy began ghostwriting in 2019 and since has completed dozens of short stories and novellas and three full-length novels in the following genres: suspense, horror, contemporary and paranormal romance, and new adult fiction.

When she isn’t writing, Kristy networks with other writers, offering beta reading, editing and mentoring services free of charge, and remains an avid reader of everything under the sun! She lives with her partner and son in Georgia.
