I am an LGBTQ+ writer hailing from Newry in Northern Ireland, right on the border. I graduated with a B.Ed Hons degree in English and Drama in 1995 and have been a Primary School teacher ever since. I am extremely lucky to have taught and performed with my Burlesque dance troupe, The Burlesque Belles. I have written stories and poems from a young age and try to use my many travel experiences as a back drop for some of my writing whenever possible. I am in the process of editing my seventh domestic noir novel. In 2023 I was fortunate enough to have my novel 'DON'T CALL ME BABY' shortlisted for the Novel London Prize. My novel 'LIE DOWN WITH DOGS' was shortlisted for the Page Turner Writing Award in 2024 and won the Page Turner Writing Mentorship Award in 2024. I was thrilled to have the wonderful Nikki Vallance as my mentor.
To get through life I try to surround myself with as many wonderfully wicked women as is humanly possible. These women manage to keep me sane.
