New Award Submission Packages

We're always listening to our writers who enter our awards and after many requests, we are now including some enhanced and advanced packages.

Here's a summary of the 2025 Submission Packages.

All Submission Packages & Prices

All submissions are for your first 10-pages (of a script, unpublished manuscript or published book), which is what the judges want to judge. If they like the submission, they will ask to see if more.

All submissions will receive at least one line of feedback from one judge, but all our judges may comment and feedback on their favourite submissions.

Bronze Packages

Silver Packages

  • Silver Basic Package TWO Award Submissions + TWO sub-categories: £70

New Award Submission Package Benefits

The new submission packages allow:

  • Writers and screenwriters to enhance their submission with a critique and edit.
  • For any authors who have already published their book and don't need the critique and edit, we are including a newsletter insertion per submission to our 125K Book Luver subscribers and an author profile, so the readers can follow your other books.
  • For any author taking a Platinum Plus or a Platinum Ultimate, you will receive an exclusive solus mailer, so only your books will be included with no other books. Also, your 10 books will be sent as an exclusive solus mailer with your author profile, so readers can find out more about you and follow you.

These new packages are only ideal for different submissions.

Consider this...

  • If you only want one critique or edit, you can order that through the optional extras.
  • You can order any submission package and one critique or edit as a separate, optional extra.
  • These Plus and Ultimate Submissions Packages are great for prolific writers who have completely different submissions to enter.

If you are ordering a silver or gold to enter one submission in different Award Categories, then you also order your critique and edit separately should you wish to do so.

Sub-Categories

The submission allowance matches the sub-category allowance. See our 2025 Award Categories and Sub-categories.

  • Bronze Submission - only 1 submission, which can be entered into 1 sub-category
  • Silver submissions - 2 submissions, which can be entered into 2 sub-categories
  • Gold submissions - 5 submissions, which can be entered into 5 sub-categories
  • Platinum submissions - up to 15 submissions, which can be entered into all our sub-categories

What Happens To Plus and Ultimate Packages

Once you have entered your submission, we will automatically be notified.

Book Award Plus and Ultimate Packages

  • For the Plus and Ultimate Packages under the Book Award category for published books, we will schedule your newsletter insertion and your author profile based on the links you provide for your book and your author profile, which is directly in the submission entry page.

Writing Award and Screenplay Award Plus Packages

  • For the Plus Packages under the Writing Award category for manuscripts (unpublished books) and for the Screenplay Award for scripts, we will find your submission details and submit it for your Plus Package critique. When that is completed, we will send it to you.

Writing Award and Screenplay Award Plus and Ultimate Packages

  • For the Ultimate Package under the Writing Award category for manuscripts (unpublished books) and for the Screenplay Award for scripts, you make any amends to your critique (mentioned above) and send it back to us for your edit to be done. When the edit is completed, we will return it to you for you to make amends and to re-submit. At this stage, you can mark your entry as 'Ready for Judging' to go into our new early judging process.
  • Please note: Once you select 'Early Judging' you cannot make any changes to your submission, as the judges will already start judging it.

Critiques and Edits and Newsletter Insertions

Critiques, edits and newsletter insertions will be completed at ONE time per writer. For example, you can't have one edit one week and then another different edit another week. All your critiques and edits WILL ONLY BE DONE AT THE SAME TIME! We have managed to keep our pricing VERY LOW with agreements with our editorial team based on the editors receiving all critiques from one writer at one time.

The same goes for script edits.

The same also applies to newsletter insertions, so we can feature as many of an author's books in one newsletter at one time to encourage our readers to follow all the books you write. So, an author taking a Gold Submission Package will have all five of their books included in one newsletter. An author taking a Platinum Submission Package will have 10 books sent as an exclusive solus email, with no other books included in the newsletter. An author with either a Bronze or Silver Submission Package will have their one or two books featured with other books in one newsletter.

Timings for Critiques and Edits and Newsletter Insertions

  • Critiques and edits will be scheduled on a first submitted basis and will be processed as soon as they are submitted based on the details shown above.
  • Newsletter insertions will be scheduled on a first submitted basis as well and scheduled into the next available newsletter slots.

  1. The benefits for writers who enter 2 to 5 submissions ~ agents and publishers will see more of your work and there's more chance of getting your writing discovered. Agents and publishers look for prolific writers!
  2. The benefits for authors who enter 2 to 5 submissions ~ prize sponsor judges will see more of your books and possibly choose one of them for a prize, plus you can submit one of your entries in a Book Award and another in the Screenplay Award with the chance for a film producer to option your book for film. Spectrum Audiobooks are looking for prolific authors to offer audiobook productions!
  3. The benefits for screenwriters who enter 2 to 5 submissions ~ film producers will see more of your work and there's more chance of getting a screenplay optioned for film.

Q: How many pages does my Plus Package critique include?
A: The Plus package includes a 10-page critique. If you want a full script critique or manuscript critique, you can order that in the optional extras.

Q: Does 'critique' mean feedback on the whole script or manuscript?
A: No, refer to the answer above.

Q: What is amending?
A: Normally, writers will amend their submission after receiving a critique. You don’t need to use the critique comments to amend the submission, but most writers take the comments and feedback and make changes to their script. You make any amends or changes that you feel you want to make based on the feedback you receive for the 10-page critique.

Q: What is sending back with an Ultimate Package?
A: After you have made any amendments - as per the answer above - you send your submission back to us and we send it to the editors for their edit.

Q: With an Ultimate Package, having a critique and an edit, does this mean I have two chances to refine before resubmitting to the competition?
A: You get the critique returned to you. You make any changes. You send it back to us. We send it to our editing team. They suggest any further edits. We send it back to you. So, yes, you get TWO chances to refine the 10-page submission before the judges see the work.

Q: If I have a published book and don't need a critique, do I get the newsletter insertion instead?
A: Yes, this is the reason we have this offered to authors with books to help them promote their books to new readers via our Book Luver reader mailing list.

Q: What is the difference between a Plus Package and Ultimate Package for authors with a published book?
A: The Plus Package gives your books an insertion in the newsletter, and an Ultimate Package gives you the book insertions plus an author profile. Here is an example of how the newsletter will look - where you can see the book insertions and you can see the author profile option (Ultimate Package).

Q: What if I want a Plus Package Critique and a newsletter insertion for my book?
A: You can choose to have either the critique or the newsletter insertion. The other option you can choose to take via our Optional Extras.
