About the Author
Simon Bullock is a British-born writer living in the Netherlands. His
work spans speculative fiction, psychological thrillers, comic science
fiction and historically inspired novels, often blending sharp character
work with dark humour, emotional realism and a strong sense of place.
A lifelong storyteller, Simon writes under his own name and also under
the pen name Richard Randon for selected speculative and comic fiction
projects. His stories often explore ordinary people caught in
extraordinary circumstances, whether facing war, institutional secrets,
alien bureaucracy or the quiet damage left by the past.
Alongside writing, Simon has a background in technical and clinical
engineering, an eye for practical detail, and a long-standing love of
blues music. These influences often shape his fiction: grounded worlds,
flawed characters, dry wit, and tension built from real human pressure
rather than spectacle.
He lives in the Netherlands with his partner and continues to develop
novels across several genres.
