A. R. Black

A. R. Black is a military man, intelligence analyst, and aspiring mountain hermit tucked away in West Virginia's rocky highlands with his wife and son. He has been a lifelong consumer of science fiction and dark speculative fiction in every form—novels, anime, manga, video games, and more—and when the worlds he loved most weren't enough anymore, he started building his own.

His debut novel No Man's Land won 1st Place in the 2024 Chanticleer CYGNUS Award for Science Fiction, was named a 2024 Page Turner Award Finalist, and was selected as a Judge's Top Pick at the 2025 Killer Nashville Silver Falcon Awards.

A Chronicle of Lost Causes is his ongoing series.
