T.M. Rennie

T.M.Rennie is a Canadian writer based in Mainland China. Her short creative non-fiction appeared in Reader's Digest: Our Canada Magazine. When she isn't writing, reading about writing, or thinking about writing, she teaches English as a Second Language (ESL) to young learners. Rennie is interested in various literature and subject matters, ranging from historical fiction, mystery, philosophy, fantasy, and the paranormal. She writes supernatural mysteries.

At a young age, she naturally became a writer when she fell in love with reading. It is the fascination with the imagination that entices her to write.
She believes that the treatment of storytelling is wrestling with uncultivated ideas, bringing such ideas to life, learning to choose the stories to breathe life into, and abandoning stories refusing to be told—or yet to be told. As she works on cultivating her craft as a writer, Rennie believes it is simplistic curiosity, which evokes the preverbal question in storytelling, "what if?" as she journeys with her characters to see where the story would go next. Yet, she understands the complexity of translating ideas at infancy, so it makes sense to the world as she watches her stories (in some cases) come to fruition--as writing is an emotional, yet satisfying, messing vocation.

Rennie is interested in writing about the mundane, with recurring themes: life, loss, and home. She is currently an unpublished author drafting a three-plan supernatural mystery.
