How to Write Animation Stories
David Townsend, who specializes in finding animation projects to produce, is eager and excited to see any animation entries. David will be running a webinar on how to write animation projects, which of course are ideal for children's stories but equally fantastic for adult stories. Watch out for an email coming soon on David's webinar.
Map Your Webinar in 8 Weeks
Chicago author and writing coach, Tammy Letherer, will be running a webinar for anyone with a true story to tell. ‘Map Your Memoir’ will show you how to write a memoir in eight weeks.
Crime Writers Lab
Former homicide Detective & Chief Forensic Investigator, Steve Rush is inviting all crime and thriller writers who anticipate a death in their novels to come along to a webinar to find out the requirements necessary to write authentic, believable, and credible crime scenes. These include inciting incidents, antagonist and protagonist, evidence, and the deceased’s injuries and postmortem changes.
Pitch Your Story To Film Producers
Pitch your story to film producers. Wow, this is going to be an exciting event where storytellers are invited to pitch their stories to film producers.
Please note that many film producers only want to read scripts, so if you want to pitch your story, you have the choice of adapting your novel to a script or having your novel adapted to a screenplay for you by a professional screenwriter.
If you pitch a written novel, and the producer wants to know more, they will want to see it as a film script. Some may not ask for a script, but most of them will. This is only available to our entrants.
Hook Our Judges
To ensure your entry catches the judges' attention quickly, we are also running a webinar on how to ensure your writing jumps off the page and hooks the judges. This covers pace, compelling characters and writing styles.
Character Emotional Mastery
Without characters, there is no story. What we care about is not what is happening, but to whom it is happening. We go to movies to see characters solve problems and fulfil needs. Characters make us laugh and cry, not plots.
Who they are, what they experience, and how they change is what brings a script or manuscript to life, no matter what the genre or subject. Characters are all there is to it because the moment you stop caring for the characters, you’re no longer involved in the story.
To ensure your characters are compelling, you need to master their emotions and reveal the character through their emotional situation. Find out how to master your characters' emotions.
We are currently planning all of these webinars, so leave your details below to ensure you get notified first for early places.
