Before Lexi Brandt knew what a screenwriter was, she knew that whatever she chose to do with my life, she wanted to make people laugh the way she did when watching movies like “Mean Girls” and series like “30 Rock”. As a graduate of USC’s Writing for Screen and Television major, she can now say with confidence that she makes people laugh by writing female-centered comedic features and half-hour TV inspired by the titles (and others like them) listed above, while also pulling from her own trials and triumphs, embarrassing moments, and niche interests (religious cults and missing persons cases, for example) to make these screenplays both relatable and incredibly unique.

She writes stories reminiscent of early 2000s comedies that follow young – and often unhinged – women on self-discovery journeys that lead them into troublesome situations inspired by her niche interests (like becoming kidnapping victims or trying to escape the Amish) that they must use humor and resourcefulness to navigate.
