My name is Svetlana, and I’m the founder of MaRCasso, a non-profit inspired by my son Marc — a cardiac arrest survivor who lives with cerebral palsy.

MaRCasso.org, my non-profit organisation dedicated to advocating for children with cerebral palsy and brain injury through storytelling, digital platforms, and social media.

I’ve been living in France for 25 years, but my life turned upside down almost 10 years ago.

Everything changed the day my son Marc went into cardiac arrest at the age of 4.

I had come to France with two degrees in hand and an already rich career path: hospitality, television in Chisinau, an MBA in France, work at Grenoble École de Management, journalism, luxury tourism, entrepreneurship…

But nearly 10 years ago, everything shifted.

A cardiac arrest doesn’t spare you.

My son Marc was only 4. But nothing prepares you for the sudden arrival of disability in your life…

With Marc’s disability, I became a “medical mom” — like so many other parents who have to learn to manage… alone.

Today, everything I share on my blog, YouTube channel, or social networks was born from that fight.

This is not a career. It’s a mission. An urgency to live. A way of offering my son the best possible quality of life.

I am a MOTHER — of an extraordinary teenager who survived a cardiac arrest and now lives with cerebral palsy (GMFCS II). For almost 10 years, I have been fully committed to an intensive journey of rehabilitation, therapeutic research, and sharing experiences.

I am the author of Marc the Invincible (FR/EN) — a book written with the collaboration of Julie Lucquet, private biographer.

We ( me&my son) use creativity to challenge stereotypes about disability and to show that recovery is possible — even when doctors say there’s no hope.

Through YouTube, storytelling, social media, and a published book in two languages, we reach thousands of families across the world — in French, English, and Russian — sharing tools, hope, and visibility for children like Marc.

We believe in representation without pity — raw, real, and creative.
