McClory: The Battle for 007 is the true story of the legal battle between Irish film producer Kevin McClory and Ian Fleming over who really created the James Bond character in the screen treatment for Thunderball. McClory's legal victory made him one of the richest men in Ireland, and the legal owner of the biggest James Bond movie until Skyfall, 47 years later. But McClory's victory came at a cost: Fleming was dead within 10 months of the trial, and McClory's life descended into obsession over ownership of the James Bond character.
