ZunTold is a brand new and independent publishing company based in Manchester. They publish middle-grade, young adult and crossover fiction.
They have an interest in mental health and emotional wellbeing and love all genres. They believe fiction can change lives and are committed to getting the best stories out there.
They are also developing a digital space where authors, creators, readers, therapy and health seekers can come together to discuss fiction and participate in writing for therapeutic purposes.
We would love to see themes of mental health, recovery and emotional wellbeing in the awards entries.
About Elaine Bousfield
Elaine studied Social Administration at the University of Sussex, which she thought would equip her to become a probation officer (her dream career at the time of university).
She now works in mental health as well as the literary scene; her main obsession these days is all about how literature can support therapy and recovery.
Elaine is no stranger to turning a start-up into a success story: she built her first business, XenZone, the creators of Kooth, (where she remains as the Founding Director), into a UK-wide, seven-figure turnover operation, in just over eleven years. XenZone provides online emotional and mental health services - including a specialist children and young people’s division called Kooth.
I'm looking forward to hearing new voices writing for young people and children, particularly those with themes of mental health and titles with fantasy elements.
