Riya M. Cyriac is judging the Page Turner Young Writer Award. Riya is the Founder and Executive Director of The Young Writers Initiative (TYWI).
The Young Writers Initiative is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, servicing, and inspiring young writers. They offer free editing, beta reading, cover designing, book reviewing, workshops, summer camps, contests, a literary magazine, festivals, and mentorships.
When she's not running TYWI, she's writing. Her debut book of poetry is forthcoming this Spring.
She is currently working on a novel, and is very excited to judge the works of upcoming young writers. She loves work from all genres, but is looking for work that has captivating prose, enthralling dialogue, strong characters, and a bold take on the tropes we know and love. She wants to see works that explore compelling themes about humanity, and loves a complicated protagonist.
I love work from all genres, but is especially excited to read work that has captivating prose, enthralling dialogue, strong characters, and a bold take on the tropes we know and love. I also love complicated protagonists, but beyond all that, I just want to read a good story.
