More Chances To Win

Several awards have sub-categories, giving you more chances to win an award. Every entry into the Book Award, Writing Award and Screenplay receives entry into that award category, plus ONE sub-category of that particular award. We also have amazing prizes to give away to writers, authors and screenwriters.

Best Author, Best Writer, Best Screenwriter

For the past few years many entrants have had three to four books reaching our finals, and we are very likely to see that again this year. These writers with multiple high-scoring submissions have included, Diane E Davies, Junia Wonders, Jason Ruscio, Michael Clifton, Katrina Bart, Carol Sandford, Claire Merchant, Patti Larsen, E A Carter, David Callinan, Finn Burnett… to name but a few!

These writers have inspired us to create a very exciting new award title. So, without further ado, we are delighted to announce the Best Author Award, Best Writer Award, and Best Screenwriter Award!

Notes On True Stories

Where a story is a description of imaginary people and events, which is written or told in order to entertain, a true story is based on facts rather than being invented or imagined and is accurate and reliable.

True Story Versus Based On A True Story
"True Story" is the history of what actually happened, showing a series of complex relationships and conflicted events from which the reader or audience can discover, create, refine, and apply meaning to our lives.

“Based on a true story” is more of an accurate accounting of the story, though there's probably some dramatic licence taken to fictionalize certain parts of the story that are not known to the storyteller.
