Six American tourists have their holiday in England cut short after they are accused of murder by the local xenophobic MP Lord Christoph Flooding and end up helping Scotland Yard investigate it, in an adventure that involves British politics and ancient Neolithic stone circles.

Emma Pickles and her friends she’s known since kindergarten go on holiday to England before splitting up to go to their respective universities.

They settle on Avebury, a small village in Wiltshire, because Emma wants to see the circle, inspired by her late father’s fascination with them.

Along with Sam, a boy living next door to her holiday cottage, Emma and her friends get caught up in a murder investigation after finding a body in the middle of the circle and accused of committing the crime by the village’s fascist MP Lord Christoph Flooding, who also knew Emma’s father from university and was an old rival.

Together with the detective called in to investigate, Emma must put her holiday aside to focus on a more important task, find out who the murderer was and save England from the grasp of Christoph Flooding and the British Union of Fascists.
