Submission Feedback

We are offering all entrants the chance to get feedback to ensure you place your best work possible in front of our literary experts. We have two options and you can enjoy the benefits of both.

Reader Feedback

Reader Feedback is vital for writers. Most authors use Beta Readers to get feedback to their written work before submitting it to agents and publishers or before self-publishing. If you choose this optional extra, you will receive a commenting section on your submission where readers can make comments on your 10 pages and your characters. This is a good opportunity to fine tune your work before our judges see it. One of the readers may spot some typos or grammar errors or inconsistencies in the story. You can watch the comments and then make any necessary changes to your submission before the judging starts in early June.

You can use your feedback to make changes to your submission up until the day the final late deadline closes. After GMT midnight on 31 May, you will not be allowed to make any further changes to your submission.

Making Submission Changes

If you want to receive feedback, ensure you have selected 'Reader Feedback' when you add your entry submission.

How to make changes:

  1. Login to Page Turner Awards
  2. Go to your entry submission
  3. Click the edit button
  4. Edit as necessary (either edit certain parts or select all of your submission and replace it with your edited version)
  5. Save

Why Use Reader Feedback?

If you are looking for votes and feedback to enhance your submission, this is the ideal opportunity to find out what readers think of your work. You can share your page link to show your friends and family or you can choose to have us share your work with our readers. We will share it virally through social media and in our newsletters to our 75K subscribers.

Don't leave booking and submitting your entry to the last minute. Make sure you factor in enough time to have a press release written and sent to your local community media and to get scheduled into our newsletters.

Please note that the optional extras of a newsletter insertion to boost your votes and a press release to encourage your local community to vote for you and give you feedback will not be available in May. If you want to enjoy the benefits of these extras, please ensure you book and submit your entry in March or April.

Editing and Development Feedback

We are also offering you the chance to get an editor to give you development feedback on your work, plus the chance to get an edit on your 10 pages. You can submit your 10 pages and edit your submission from either Reader Feedback or from the Editor's Feedback up until the awards close on the 31 May.

As soon as you have considered the optional extras and you know which you want to choose plus your creative work is ready, you can make your booking and entry submission. Please go through these options carefully and consider which is the best for your entry because once you have chosen you cannot change your membership package.
