Adele Lande is the pseudonym for Dr Ruth Baigent. She is a medical doctor, a General Practitioner, and writer, who lives in South Australia. Adele has self-published one novel, Opal Song, in November 2021 through IngramSpark. This has been selected as a recommended book-club read by the South Australian Public Libraries and she is now attending book clubs to meet with readers to happily discuss her novel. Adele has also been interviewed on local and outback radio. She completed an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing in 2019, at the Adelaide College of Arts, with a Distinction average. She has won competitions for best short story and screenplay adaption of short story to film and has contributed articles to medical magazines. A tea addict, she dreams of sailing around Australia in a catamaran, and writing bestsellers when anchored at port. She is currently 90,000 words into the first draft of her next novel.
