Hi there! I like to write humorous dark fantasy under the pen name Adrienne Miller. In my stories, I combine complex characters, beautiful aesthetics, and existential dread.
I have grown up with both classic and new fantasy, from Michael Moorcok's Eternal Hero series, Michael's Scott's "Thraxas" magical detective romps, to quiet and heart-felt Science-Fantasy by Becky Chambers.
I have a PhD in English literature, which I am now (more or less) using to navigate the world of fiction writing. In 2023, I self-published a dark fantasy romance-mystery entitled 'The Travelling City'. My second project is 'Paladin and Necromancer', a dark fantasy comedy about the messy marriage between the eponymous couple, featuring mystery, romance, and a lot of snark.
