Andy Sykes is a retired engineer turned writer. He has used various resources, such as National Centre for Writing, Jericho Writers and Curtis Brown Creative, over a few years to learn the craft of creative writing.
He is the founder of Stockport Storytellers, a short story writing group, now in its fifth year, who publish their favourite stories on their website: http://www.stockportstorytellers.co.uk Stockport Storytellers work with Stockport Talking Newspapers, narrating a selection of their stories to be included in the weekly talking newspaper sent out to blind and partially sighted residents. Andy also runs a Creative Writing group for Signpost, a local charity for carers. He has has had four of his short stories published and is seeking representation for his first novel, The Trouble with Dogs.
