I am a member of the Panhandle Professional Writers and attend several critique groups. In 2005 I was a top 7 finalist in the Write Idol Contest which featured in a New York press release. That same year I was recipient of the Frontiers in Writing Conference Award. In 2006, The Lightening Journal published my short story Seeing the Unseen. In 2007 I served as script supervisor on the indie short film Soccer Mom, a comedy dealing with LGBTQ+ issues. In 2011 Dark Tide Writer’s Magazine published my short story Black Wedding. In 2014 my horror short Seeing the Unseen appeared on episode 7 of The Haunting Season; a YouTube channel boasting more than 16k subscribers.
At the end of the day I'm just a gay girl living in Texas, licensed in criminal investigation (2009), who's become fascinated with Lizzie Borden the person, rather than the Halloween figure. While watching a special on her in 2012, certain things jumped out at me, but seemed missed by the program altogether. Thus began my deep dive! I am Becky Rhush on Facebook and Instagram.
