C.F.Dunn

Claire Dunn (C.F. Dunn) is a British novelist of historical fiction, mystery and suspense.

From a long line of Lincolnshire farmers, Claire could have remained rooted to the land. Instead she spent her childhood on the move with her Forces family, developing a vivid imagination and a love of language. It is among the books that travelled with her that she discovered a fascination for the past and an abiding interest in the Wars of the Roses, leading to a lifetime of research.

Following a degree in Medieval History, she founded and ran a school for neurodiverse children and young people, students whom she describes as inspirational.

Embarking on her writing career, she won a gold medal for Best Adult Romance with her debut novel MORTAL FIRE, the first in the 5-book SECRET OF THE JOURNAL series.

Now working on her second series, Claire returns to her medieval roots with THE TARNISHED CROWN, a historical family saga of love, loyalty and treachery set in fifteenth-century England during the Wars of the Roses. WHEEL OF FORTUNE (pub. 2025) and SUN ASCENDANT (pub 2025), will be joined by DEGREES OF AFFINITY later in the year.

She now lives and writes by the unruly sea in Dorset, with her family, assorted animals and over-worked coffee machine.
