Clare Reader Collins

I live in a beautiful Devon valley, a stone's throw from the real life locations that inspire my writing.

My debut novel, Tales of Starcross, has longlisted for the Blue Pencil Agency Pitch Prize; longlisted for the Cheshire Novel Prize out of approximately 1,640 entries; and shortlisted for the Grindstone Literary International Novel Prize.

My second novel, Queen of Red, is an origin story of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, and is part of a series of standalone tales set in Starcross.

My first screenplay, Plague Of Red, won the Grand Prize for the StoryPros 15th International Screenplay Competition out of approximately 1,000 scripts, and a Recommend from Script Reader Pro.

Queen Of Red is my second screenplay and was a Semi-Finalist at the LA Screenplay Awards, and Longlisted for the Page Turner Screenplay Awards.

I love all things medieval (alchemy, art, weaponry, poisons) and the many ways that I can torture my brave characters - but only so that they can appreciate a happy ending.
