I am a 39-year-old writer, teacher, and mother of three. When I was asked in grade-school what I wanted to be when I grew up, the answer was to be an author. As I grew and discovered my love for working with small children, I pushed my writing dream aside and decided to focus on my career as a teacher. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a minor in Language Arts. After spending the past 15 years teaching, raising my kids, and acting as secretary for my husband’s business, I find myself circling back to my goal of becoming a published author. After re-focusing on my writing, the past three years, I see now more than ever how fulfilled writing makes me. I love creating characters and the world in which they live. Being able to put my stories out into the world for others to enjoy would truly be a dream come true.
