David Powell

Authors I admire are Tom Sharpe (Wilt) for humour, John Irving (Garp) for character-shaping, Christopher Hitchens (God is not great) for intellectual thought, and Lee Child (Jack Reacher) for 'what will happen next' storytelling.

As a copywriter and creative director, I have written for decades for press, radio, and television. The challenge of this work is to interest a reader/viewer in such things as head hardened railway lines, contraceptives, worm farms, banks, cars and hardware.

I was born in London and attended Emanuel Grammar but have lived and worked in Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Hopefully, this diversity in my work and environment adds to my material and its readability.
