Twenty years ago, while on a scuba diving trip in Papua New Guinea, John David Miller purchased a piece of property deep in the Appalachian Mountains he had never seen and knew nothing about. Soon after closing, he discovered the name Frank W. Sibold written on the bottom corner of the plat. Sibold was a very unusual name but did happened to be Mr. Miller's mother's maiden name. Prior to this unusual purchase, Dave MIller had been the National Accounts Manager for a chemical company where he started as a wax salesman fifteen years earlier and was also an avid scuba diver, explorer, and adventure traveler.

As a kid, John David Miller spent most of his time in the little town of Greenville, West Virginia, where both sets of grandparents, the Millers and the Sibold's, lived across the street from each other. As far back as he can remember he was exploring the Salt Peter Caves that surround Greenville and their connection to Native Americans and other ancient mythologies and civilizations in the area. After discovering his new property was directly connected to three of his first generation grandfathers, the French and Indian War, the Revolutionary War, and the Draper Meadow Massacre, Mr. Miller dedicated the next fifteen years to investigating the local history, genealogy, and folklore of the area in hopes of discovering what unusual forces had brought him back to the land of his childhood and to find out what was buried beneath the graves of his ancestors.
