I grew up in a bustling home as the third of six children. I cultivated my imagination by spending countless hours roaming through the 180 acres of beautiful rolling woods on the family farm in Northwestern Michigan. My mother, an elementary school teacher, instilled in him the love of reading at an early age. My father, who wrote poetry, gave him a thirst for creating something from nothing by being aware of the world around me.

My diverse background as a roughneck on oil rigs, carpenter, waiter, bus driver, model, and college professor has offered me a unique perspective that translates into my writing. I have been inspired by the writings of Maeve Binchy, Ken Bruen, William P Young, and Patrick Taylor.

I currently live in beautiful Northwestern Michigan with my wife, Theresa. We enjoy spoiling our 11 grandchildren and traveling.
