Erial Tompkins

Erial Tompkins is an LA-based genre writer with roots in television marketing as an award-winning copywriter and trailer editor. Her love of storytelling is rooted in strong, diverse characters, American history, spectacle, and hope. Before moving to Los Angeles, Erial studied at Emerson College in Boston, MA, and grew up in Washington DC.

Erial has been nominated four times for the On-Air Promo WGA award and has won twice. In 2019 she penned episode one script for the experimental empathy-driven VR series "The Messy Truth" starring Winston Duke, produced by Van Jones and directed by Elijah Allan-Blitz. Episode One won a Lumiere Award and was a finalist for a 2019 Interactive Emmy. In 2020 she also wrote the second episode of "The Messy Truth," starring Brie Larson, which went on to win the honor.

When she's not writing or editing -- you can find her on a two-wheeled adventure in nature, rewatching Star Trek Next Gen, or trying to find the best sandwich in Los Angeles. Erial is currently looking for representation and new opportunities.
