I am a 28 year old supervisor of a book/hobby shop, who uses her biology degree to write articles for the kids' science magazine, Aquila. I ran as the general secretary for my university's Creative Writing Society in my third year, and now co-host a local writing group which provides a friendly environment for people to work on their projects. In my spare time, I throw my hat into the theatre ring with my local amateur Gilbert & Sullivan society, most recently in a 1940's-styled The Sorcerer.
I have always had a love of fairytales, ever since receiving Andrew Lang's 'The Blue Fairy Book' and enjoy mixing-and-matching fairytale tropes to create entertaining (and I hope uplifting, after the last few years we've all had) stories, which both respect and play with their origins.
