Ingrid Wolf

Born and raised in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine. Attended the same school as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Writing since the age of 7. By the age of 25, authored three novels that will never see the world and published a few short stories with a Moscow powerhouse (in 2012; the time when any Ukrainian writer who was anyone was striving for the Russian market).

Said my first words in three languages: Ukrainian, Russian, and English. Still speaking all three without a hitch and using them in my job as a freelance writer. For a while, I made my living translating fantasy novels by Russian writers into English to sell on Amazon but stopped it on Feb. 24.

The war hitting my country in 2022 left me amazed at how awesome our people can be. I believe I can write the best story in my life about Ukrainians from different backgrounds who were simply living their normal lives, never coming anywhere near warfare, but time came and they stood up as one to defend their country–and about the supernatural underpinnings of this whole thing rooted in Ukrainian mythology. Although I have never developed a screenplay before, I feel like this is the best format to get my story heard by many (provided that it gets filmed).
