I have a Bachelor of Science degree in ecology and evolution biology from the University of Hawaiʻi, and I'm now working on my PhD in the same vein. My work as a biological researcher has involved fieldwork in boreal forests, arid grasslands, and tropical forests, as well as vast amounts of time in labs and on computers conducting analyses. My fiction has appeared in AntipodeanSF and Morpheus Tales, and my non-fiction has been published in The Conversation, Natural History, American Forests, and History Today among others. Killing Juggernaut is my debut literary/speculative/science fiction novel that follows three characters through the environmental destruction of the 22nd and 23rd centuries.
