I received a Ph.D. in medieval English literature in 1980, and published four scholarly books and fifty articles on Chaucer, Arthurian legend, J.R.R. Tolkien, Dante, and other subjects before retiring after 40 years of teaching college. More recently I have been writing mystery novels--first a series of six "Merlin Mysteries" set in the court of King Arthur, and currently a series of "Robin Hood Mysteries," of which my current entry is the third installment. I live in Arkansas with my novelist/poet wife and four dogs.
