Aptly named, Jeannie Wycherley is a word witch residing somewhere between the forest and the sea in East Devon. She and her husband are ex-lecturers who gave up life in the city to return home and take on the running of the quirkiest of seaside gift shops.
With a PhD in history, Jeannie's interests are wide-ranging. Once obsessed with discovering women's lived experiences from the past, she now prefers to imagine their stories instead. Some might suggest there's a fine line between the two, but as long as you stumble across a moment that takes your breath away, makes you laugh or brings a tear to your eye, Jeannie considers she is doing her job well.
When not selling postcards or glued to her laptop, Jeannie is a maker of soup, a lover of dogs, an admirer of forests, and a seeker of magic.
