Author of "The Private Misadventures of Nell Nobody," and "On Wounds of Woe," Jennifer Newbold came to fiction writing from a historical perspective, with a belief that history can be immediate and relevant, and that fiction can be a means to making history accessible. But fiction can do so much more, and she enjoys exploring its breadth and depth in her writing.
Jennifer has been a passionate consumer and creator of stories all her life, but has only recently begun putting her own stories into print. She has—so far—been a living-history interpreter, a costumer, a designer, a researcher, and a museum guide; she has also worked in multiple capacities in stage, television, and film. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, two teenage boys, one goofy Labrador, two pirate cats, and *two* pet Roombas (robot vacuum cleaners). She is currently writing the third book in the Nell Anson trilogy.
