Jo Deniau

Jo Deniau's novel, "Hologram," was recently announced as a Finalist in the New Age category of the 18th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards, won First Place in the Paranormal / Supernatural Fiction division of the 2023 Chanticleer International Book Awards (CIBAs), and was a Finalist in the Somerset Awards for Literary and Contemporary Fiction division of the 2023 CIBAs. Her debut novel, "Stiff Hearts," earned a 5-star rating from Chanticleer Book Awards in 2023, First Place in the Somerset division of the 2022 CIBAs, and an International Impact Award for Women's Fiction in 2021.

Jo was born northeast of Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, and raised in the house her paternal grandfather built. Her studies of English Literature and Language complemented her rich Liberal Arts education from middle school through undergraduate studies at Butler University (Indianapolis), where she began as a Journalism major. Jo served on the editorial staffs of three U.S. National magazines and earned a Master of Arts Degree from Ohio University's Graduate Writing Program. After teaching Literature and Composition part-time at Temple University in Philadelphia, Jo moved to Boulder, Colorado, where she lived for twenty-eight years. There she not only explored "all things metaphysical" but also became a Traditional Usui Reiki Master and learned many other "high-tech" healing techniques. She says that, like her novels, her life has been "steeped with magic realism."

Jo now lives in Central Gulf Coast Florida with her "little feline family" fifteen minutes from the nearest beach. She is currently working on a third novel, which she describes as "a cross between a cozy mystery and something more murderous."
