In high school, my Literature teacher, Mr Paul Grillo, for me, was the original Dead Poet's Society character that Robin Williams portrayed before the movie ever hit the silver screen. He brought out in me, writing skills that I never knew I had. My short stories were getting A's and I was selling them to other students at $5 each. After high school I got away with writing until later in my adult years, when I got involved in ultra-low budget independent films in Philly, working on other film makers projects both in front of and behind the camera. After setting side my own screenplay which was inspired by mother's death from a brain tumor, I picked it up again with fresh ideas in 2020 while binging on Netflix TV series and feature films. With numerous persistent rewrites, I finally settled on two versions which I'm entering in screenwriting contests throughout 2022. I intend to keep writing!
