Kelly Boyer Sagert is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) and the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR). She has published more than a dozen books under her own name and ghostwritten several other books. She is the sole scriptwriter for "Trail Magic: The Grandma Gatewood Story," an Emmy-Award-nominated documentary that appeared on PBS and won several awards, including international ones. Sagert has sold thousands of pieces of her writing to magazines, newspapers, online sites, encyclopedias and literary journals; she started writing online material in 1994 and copywriting in 1997. She ghost blogs for numerous companies, too, many with a national presence, and teaches non-credit writing courses at Ohio universities/colleges/career schools as well as online and at libraries and writer's conferences.
