Kristen Dobson was born in Ontario, Canada and graduated college in 1996. For the past thirty years she has worked as a massage therapist while continuing to pursue writing in her free time.
Over decades, she has had the unique privilege of delving into peoples stories, while gaining an in depth understanding on how those stories affect an individuals physical, emotional and mental health. Tens of thousands of patient hours have not only made her a credible witness to both suffering and success, but have also allowed her to stock pile narratives about the plight of being human. Her fascination with the truth, with understanding what makes us tick and how we are who we are, is the spark which drives her, igniting her passion to continue to write.
Kristen's own life story of growing up in the carnival, the great grand daughter of a Canadian legend, almost dying at 17 and surviving the hard and soft balls life has thrown at her since, is a testament to her resilience. Sharing her story has been her life's passion.
Kristen has been previously published in several small publications including Mysteries Magazine and Elephant Journal. During her time at Elephant Journal she wrote 15 articles of which 3 received editors choice.
