I'm a 42-year-old, 19 years married, stay-at-home mother of two small children, one of which I homeschool. I'm following a long-buried dream of making movies. I would love to inspire others (particularly busy mothers) to follow their dreams and enter an industry which has long been predominantly comprised of white males.
Last year during COVID lockdowns, while writing my western-genre screenplay, ‘Canyon of the Damned,’ I also published a 53-page, full-color cartoon horse book called, ‘The Grass Is Always Greener… A collection of Kirby & Clyde cartoons.’ It is currently selling on Amazon and Amazon Kindle.
As a third-generation artist and writer, I entered my first professional art show at the age of nine, being featured in a local newspaper. While in high school, taking a video production class, I created and edited the first full-length cartoon by a high school student. Again, garnering local news attention. I have also been a published poet and author of short stories since 2000.
After leaving a decade-long career as a surgical technician and Executive Manager of a surgical center for the nation’s largest dermatology practice, I decided to rekindle my artistic dreams and shoot for the stars.
My hobbies include: Horseback riding, hiking, fishing, rock climbing, painting, writing, reading books, photography, carpentry, home design, working on classic cars, car shows, cooking, and gardening.
