Lilianne Milgrom

Lilianne Milgrom is an internationally acclaimed artist and author. She was born in Paris, grew up in Australia, and now lives in the United States. In 2011 she became the first artist authorized by the Orsay Museum in Paris to copy Gustave Courbet’s infamous L’Origine du monde (The Origin of the World). Following her stint as a copyist she spent nearly a decade researching and writing her debut novel ‘L'Origine’, first place winner for Adult Fiction by IndieReader Discovery Awards and winner of the prestigious Publishers Weekly US 2021 Book Award for Best Adult Fiction. Her articles have appeared in publications such as the Huffington Post, Bonjour Paris, Inspirelle, Ceramics Monthly and Daily Art Magazine. Her essay “Je suis femme” appears in the Dans le Ventre des Femmes (BSC Publishing, Paris) and her short story Dancing with Courbet is included in the 2021 New Urge Reader (Black Scat Books).
