Born in Seoul, Korea, Mia Kim came to the US at the age of 15 not knowing English. She attended TC Williams High School in Alexandria, VA and earned a scholarship to study voice at the Eastman School of Music, where she earned her BA and MA. She went on to perform at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center before retiring from singing and turning to visual art. She has had several sold-out shows in NYC and currently resides in Connecticut with her husband. She is working on the sequel to Me, Then, a historical novel based on her childhood growing up in Korea.
