Michelle Ensuque is a behavioural coach whose project management and consultant career has spanned 30 years across public and private sectors. Michelle suffered a breakdown around 10 years ago which was a shock as she always believed her zest for life, energy and sense of humour would get her through most things but, balancing the needs of family as a single parent coupled with a demanding job and other life events, such as bereavement, eventually took its toll.
Continuing to work, Michelle spent 12 months also working on her recovery, part of which was Neuro Linguistic Programming and was blown away by how much she had genuinely not understood about herself. She wasn’t aware of how she was operating, her patterns of behaviour that led to her driving herself relentlessly and why, ultimately, at an emotional level she ended up at rock bottom.
Michelle now works with people in the corporate world, who are trying to balance the professional with the personal and helps them too, to make transformational changes. Often this doesn’t just help the individual but also the teams and colleagues they work with as well as their family and friends. Her mission is to help people understand how they operate at a personal level in order to potentially avoid the mental health issues that ravage our society. Her book lurches from raw and painful experiences to hilarity as she looks at how we can be completely unaware of how our upbringing can impact how we work, the relationships we seek and the behaviours we adopt and then how to change, for the better.
