Nick Edmunds grew up in Fife and graduated in Medicine in 1982. After 36 years as a GP in Scotland, he retired with a head full of stories and set about writing for pleasure.
Initially concentrating on short fiction, a full-length novel soon became Nick’s focus. His interest in people and their minds means psychology has a heavy influence on his writing, and like our brains, his stories are full of twists, turns and mystery.
Nick’s debut psychological thriller, Miles Away, is set in 1970s Scotland and was published by Bear Press in July 2022. He was chosen by Bloody Scotland as a Crime in the Spotlight emerging crime writer, and read from Miles Away at the 2022 crime writing festival.
He has completed one further full manuscript, Ragged Island, a speculative thriller.
A sequel to Miles Away is in process.
Nick lives in Stirling with his wife and spaniel.
