Noel Kearns

Who is Noel Kearns?
I was born and raised in rural Ireland. Aged eighteen, I moved to London with £60 in my pocket with naïve hopes of working in the film industry.
For years, I struggled to get by, working in bars and on building sites but managed to put myself through college (TV Studies). After decades of hard work and good fortune, I rose up to hold several high-profile TV roles including Head of On-Air Promos for Sky, Creative Director for Sky Sports and a amazing two-year stint travelling the globe filming for National Geographic TV.
I have an extensive writing and directing portfolio with over twenty five years experience of adverts and on-air promos with scores of TV industry awards to my name (Showreel – vimeo.com/showcase/4996132 Password – Director).
But this success has never dampened my original and long-held dream to write and direct Feature Films and TV Drama. In 2006, I completed an MA in screenwriting and then wrote and directed the short film ‘The Cleaner’ which won numerous top awards and official selections at Film Festivals worldwide (vimeo.com/5692797).
In the past few years, I have been financially able to take a long work break to fully concentrate on screenwriting and ‘Broken Soldier’ is the first of my many scripts.
