Oliver Greeves – Author Bio
A direct descendant of Frances (Fanny), Viscountess Nelson and her son, Josiah Nisbet, Oliver Greeves spent many years working on Wall Street and now lives in Sydney. When he is not writing, he spends his time coaching business leaders.
Long fascinated by Fanny’s life and times, he has travelled extensively to research her story set in the turbulent days of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. He embarked on a career of creating stories of the era based on historical fact, while using fiction to explore the psyche and characters behind the myths. His first novel, “Nelson’s Folly” was well received by reviewers. He is currently writing his second novel, “Nelson's Lost Son” which will be published later this year. (For more information check the author’s website: wwwfannynelsonfan.com).
A keen historian with a PhD in History, Oliver believes in the power of fiction to explore the circumstances of people and events in history. He studied creative writing at the New School in Greenwich Village New York and with Writing NSW.
Oliver is a founding partner of Pharos Institute, a leadership development and executive coaching company. Psychological insights infuse his characters with realism, depth and humanity. Oliver believes most worthwhile insights into the human condition involve story telling. His engaging plots and characters support underlying themes of morality, justice and purpose.
