R A Akerlund became obsessed with books as a teen whilst bored in the dark winters of Sweden. Devouring her parent's bookshelf she dreamt of writing like Grahan Green or Jack Kerouac. She moved to London when she was sixteen, singing backing vocals for her rent and penning poetry for songs that she wrote on her guitar.
Still in London and thousands of words on pages later, her book ambitions are her main focus. Staring out the window or at her hands keeps her busy too and hopefully, the sentences will flow together and others will enjoy the stories she tells. R A Akerlund has published 'I am Ed" and is currently finishing her second novel, Green Park.
