I am an English teacher and work both as an assistant lecturer at a university and as a virtual teacher for a local public charter school. I especially love working with students in all areas of creative writing. I have an MA in Creative Writing from Northern Michigan University, where I also had the opportunity to work with their amazing little literary magazine, Passages North. I live in Western Wisconsin with my husband, three young children, a few retired chickens, and a particularly goofy Border Beagle puppy. I am also a recent stage three breast cancer survivor, an experience that has reshaped both my writing and my life in general. I have two self-published mystery novels, and my flash fiction and poetry has appeared in Flora Fiction, The Harpoon Review, and elsewhere.
