Sharon Reah

Born into a non academic family background and brought up on several council estates, Sharon's parents dismissed her enthusiasm to join the artistic world. Repeatedly insisting it wasn’t a real career with any prospects or financial stability. Continually being ridiculed by her Father, she didn’t dare challenge his point of view with her goals. He persisted in making his point of view loud and clear by telling her that she was useless and an idiot. Being the eldest of seven siblings, she was more aware of her parents struggle to financially provide. Silently she crumbled into pieces as her artistic writing career path became a pointless option to pursue, so Sharon took any work just to pay the bills.
In class at primary school, Sharon vividly recalls winning several competitions for the neatest writing. Further along in her form year of secondary school, she won many story competitions. The wonderful English teacher provided a different weekly fictional theme. The recognition of achievement was to have your story read out in front of the whole school. Each week Sharon would look forward to the essay theme because it was the only academic subject she knew she personally thrived in.
Sharon's personal life regarding relationships never flourished and so she brought up her 3 children as a single parent with no additional support.
Health wise she wasn’t blessed either. Lately while recuperating in bed from surgeries and illness, she'd experience sudden bursts of mental energy driving her to write. Grabbing her tablet, non fictional life experiences positively became her therapy, her passion and her niche.
At this mature stage in her life she is still learning how to develop her writing skills, and nourish her ideas into words. Sharon's journey will hopefully and finally bring her a sense of personal achievement, together with an important bonus of other’s enjoying her work and wanting more.
Sharon participated in her first European live radio interview with Talk Radio Europe in 2021. Most recently she has been invited to take part in another radio interview on The Daily Drop presented by actor, writer, director, radio presenter and producer George Heron.
