Steven has had an incredible life. Born and raised in NY City, through his entertainment lawyer father, Marty Machat, he met some of the biggest names in the industry: Frank Sinatra, James Brown, Elvis, Sam Cooke, The Rolling Stones, Clyde Otis and Sugar Ray Robinson, to name a few! Steven has worked with the likes of Genesis, Phil Collins, Phil Spector, Peter Gabriel, Leonard Cohen and the Electric Light Orchestra. His management company represented Colonel Abrams, Soft Cell, John Waite, Bobby Brown and New Edition.

After being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, Steven was forced to asses his rock n' roll lifestyle and was quick to realise this fabricated world was not serving him well. His vision changed, and he realised that life was not about making money or being anybody's boss, but about learning how to share and live in a society where we all work and live together.

His latest book We've got to get out of this place is the culmination of 5 decades of research and explores the smoke and mirrors that surround humanity, religion and philosophy, revealing the truths that remain in plain sight. He delves deep into the exploration of early death, ascension, and reincarnation and draws convincing, research based conclusions to five of the most significant questions for mankind, including, 'what happens after we die?'
